DaShawn Fleming is a native of the gorgeous Prince Georges County Maryland where she currently resides. She is a recent graduate of the illustrious North Carolina A & T State University in Greensboro, NC. DaShawn obtained her degree, with the highest honors, in Journalism and Mass Communication with a concentration in Electronic Media and Journalism.

 

During her tenure, DaShawn honed her journalistic abilities as a reporter for the A & T Register, the weekly university newspaper. She also devoted much of her time with the T.V. Studio as a reporter, videographer, and editor with on-campus shows including the Aggie Insider and Aggie Weekly.

 

DaShawn's professional experiences range from a social media based internship at CNN in Washington, D.C. to a Freelance Reporter for The Prince George's Sentinel in Lanham, MD. 

 

DaShawn joined the May 2015 cohort of M.S. in Strategic Communication at American University and is currently an Editing and Production Associate at NCC in Arlington, VA.
